My Therapeutic Approach

Patrice Collins
Registered Craniosacral Therapist
Sólás Embodied was borne from my personal healing journey, passion and professional experience with craniosacral therapy (CST). Through a series of synchronicities, CST was brought to my attention, prompting me to try it for neck pain, migraines and anxiety. After receiving treatments my symptoms reduced, but it was also the intuitive body awareness and serene inner peace experienced (arising from a what is known as a still point in CST) which felt deeply sacred that fascinated me; calling me to train in CST. My journey with CST unfolded profound self-discovery, connecting me with the intelligence in the body, awakening a more heart-led and soul-aligned life, which is ever evolving! It brought liberation from unconscious core wounding held in my body - I was born during the 'Troubles' in Northern Ireland in the 80s, which had an indirect impact on my childhood and family life, resulting in keeping my true nature hidden by unconscious patterns. Essentially, my experience is that CST provides a resourceful tool for life's challenges that can result in dis-ease, injury or pain in the body, bringing one back home to vitality, inner safety, peace and their true whole self, layer by layer, deepening mind, body and soul connection. Outside of my craniosacral practice, I facilitate creative therapeutic dance/movement sessions and also enjoy painting and hiking in nature. I continue to receive CST, enjoying the continued benefits of this excellent balancing bodywork to maintain optimal wellbeing. I am passionate in offering CST professionally, enhancing the mind-body connection and inner resources to live an empowered, vital and embodied life. I carry professional insurance with Balens and as a registered member of the Craniosacral Therapy Association (UK), I meet the high Standards of Practice and uphold the Code of Ethics.

Bespoke Approach
My approach is holistic and tailored to each individual, guided by their body and life experiences. addressing physical, emotional and energetic aspects, promoting deep realignment and overall wellbeing from the core. With training in craniosacral integration, I utilize both biodynamic and biomechanical CST techniques, that can include gentle hand placements on areas such as the head, spine, legs, or feet, and when appropriate fascial unwinding of the hip, ankle or neck, for example.
I hold a compassionate, non-judgmental and grounded space, allowing clients to navigate the therapeutic journey at a pace that suits them and their body. Each is approached without an agenda, enabling the session to be led by the client's innate body wisdom, fostering a transformative therapeutic partnership.
